If I had a chance to
live at The Palace of Versailles I would not. Although the palace seems nice it
is really not. It is luxurious but also excessive. I personally do not like the
excessive bling. Living in the palace you would constantly be under the thumb
of the Sun King. He would keep tabs on you and you would have to constantly
look good. I would not want to live in the palace.
I can respect that choice! Would you choose not to live in the palace even if the other option would be to be a poor, hard working commoner? If you know that you do not like excessive bling and wouldn't want the pressure of having to look good and impress the king all the time, it is true that Versailles would not hold much appeal.
